How it is calculated
Passwords are created with the browser's cryptographic random generator (crypto.getRandomValues), the same source password managers use. Nothing leaves your device.
entropy (bits) = length × log₂(possible characters)
From 80 bits a password is considered very strong. Extra length adds more security than adding symbols.

How long should a password be?
At least 12 characters; 16 or more for important accounts. Store them in a password manager.
